Based in India, we have enjoyed over 2 decades’ worth of angling ecstasies in the Himalayan rivers. Our clientele includes local as well as international anglers, we have a complete handle on personalized itineraries, simply because of the varied expeditions ranging from an individual angler to groups.​

Himalaya Golden Mahseer

The Himalayan Golden Mahseer is often called the river tiger and is known to rank in the top 10 fighting carps of the world. It’s found only in the Himalayan rivers and is listed as an endangered species. Also, it’s known that if any tackle catches one fish, that same tackle will not catch another mahseer which means they have sharp intelligence and communication skills.

Giant Devil Catfish

This prehistoric-looking catfish is one of the tougher specimens to land, as it’s known to be a skulking species hiding in the rock beds and ponds of the Himalayan landscape. Locally also known as the Goonch, it feeds on other small river fish and enjoys a notorious reputation to attack humans on occasions. This fish can weigh anywhere between 10 lbs. to 300 lbs. as a record catch and can measure up to 6 feet in length.

This is by far the toughest fresh water species to catch, kudos to Pancheshwar Fishing camp and retreat , I managed to get 2 mahseers above 30 lbs in my very first trip. I first called Rupesh way back in 2020 during covid for a goonch trip. I had heard a lot about goonch, being a tough nut to crack. We finally made in 2022 for a 21 day trip to catch both species including mahseer. We fished and landed 4 goonch ( biggest being 101 lbs ) in 10 days and more than 12 mahseeers , biggest being 61 lbs. Its my sure recommend to any angler who’s looking for experience and proper planning of fishing spots.They are a professional outfit.

a very well organized camp , a world record fish chance at Pancheshwar, excellently done tents with ensuite washrooms, a camp spot so ideal that I could fish from my bed. I have been fishing with Pancheshwar Fishing camp and retreat for last many years and they rarely not deliver. If you are looking at a challenge , then Mahseer will be amongst the tops.
